MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR MELALUI DAUR ULANG LIMBAH PLASTIK MENJADI PRODUK KERAJINAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan daur ulang limbah plastik dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya permasalahan limbah plastik di lingkungan sekolah serta pentingnya menumbuhkan kreativitas dan kepedulian lingkungan sejak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Petompon 02 yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi selama pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek daur ulang limbah plastik menjadi produk kerajinan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang meliputi kelancaran dalam menghasilkan ide, keluwesan dalam memecahkan masalah, serta orisinalitas dan elaborasi dalam menciptakan karya. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan sikap kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis daur ulang limbah plastik tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas, tetapi juga dapat digunakan sebagai sarana pendidikan karakter dan kesadaran ekologis bagi siswa sekolah dasar.
